WALK IN HUMILITY

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.”

Philippians 2:3-4

This week’s church planting movement principle is: Walk in Humility. This one is a tough one for literally everyone. Our fallen human nature rises up at every turn to take credit, seek approval, desire power, etc. Humility is not our natural state in this fallen world. As you go out into your world to begin movements for Jesus, focus on bowing your heart low before Him. Recognize that He alone gets all glory and honor and praise from any effort we make to advance the kingdom. Put others first always. Encourage others always. Remind yourself of where you came from and from that place of understanding, as God’s grace pours out on you, see others as higher than yourself. In Philippians 2:3-4 we read: “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” This week ask the Lord to empower all disciples and movement leaders to walk in humility, putting others ahead of themselves.

PRAYER FOR JEWS, ISRAEL, & ONE NEW MAN:

For Such a Time as This

Merciful Father, cause Your people not to be silent but to stand and speak up on behalf of the Jews and for Israel in this time of challenge.

Esther 4:14 “For if you keep silent at this time, liberation and rescue will arise for the Jews from another place, and you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?””

PRAYER FOR WORLD IN CRISIS:

Anchored in Hope

Ask God that Jesus followers are anchored in the sure steadfast hope of Jesus Christ as they walk through difficult times and that they faithfully hold out this hope to others well.

Hebrews 6:19 “This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil.
