"...they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia... but the Spirit didn’t allow them... When he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go out to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the Good News to them."
Acts 16:6-10
In today's verses, we see such clear examples of listening to the Holy Spirit and following His guidance. The Holy Spirit knows everything and every single heart that ever has been or ever will be. It makes good sense, then, to listen for His instructions. We seek to obey His commands as we go and make disciples of all peoples. Today, ask God to open your mind to understand the things the Holy Spirit shares. Ask God to see His perspective which is perfect in every situation. Walk forward as you listen, taking each step in obedience and watch the doors for the gospel open for you.
Disciple's Prayer for Today:
"Father, you alone know everything. You see everything in the whole world and in all time and eternity. How awesome you are! How awesome is your Holy Spirit that hovers over all. Today, Father, help me to listen closely for your instructions. I submit my will to follow and obey step by step. Accomplish Your purposes in and through me as I carefully listen and obey.”
Prayer for the Unreached of the Day:
"Father I open my heart to hear what you would say about the Khalaj of Iran today. Show me how I can stand in the gap for these people. I pause to listen to You now…Give me prayers of intercession for them as I go about my day. Burn them into my thoughts so my heart continually cries out for them to you. Reveal Your strategies step by step to those You send as messengers to them. Save them Lord for Your glory."
