“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
Philipians 2:13-14
This week’s church planting movement principle is: Regularly Review, Revise, And Regroup. Taking stock daily is important in keeping a movement going, growing and multiplying. A constant and daily return to God to check in and ask for ‘what’s next’ is vital in the life of a disciple maker. Running off ahead without the consistent, constant guidance of the Holy Spirit is very dangerous. Press forward always into whatever God has called you to, as in Philippians 2:13-14: “Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” Don’t be afraid to make mistakes--we learn from our mistakes. Ask God to help us keep trusting and not to become discouraged. Ask God to give movement coaches and disciple makers vision and courage to evaluate the work regularly and clearly see what needs to be continued, started, changed or stopped.

PRAYER FOR JEWS, ISRAEL, & ONE NEW MAN:
Undivided Nation: Protect Israel from being divided, O God, and reveal the blessing to those that stand with the nation.
Joel 3:2 “I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will put them on trial for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel, because they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land.”
PRAYER FOR WORLD IN CRISIS:
Increasing Faith and Love Our God who gives the gifts of faith and love, may ours grow more and more as we persevere through trials and serve others in Your Name. 2 Thessalonians 1:3-7 “We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing. Therefore, among God’s churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring. All this is evidence that God’s judgment is right and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering.” |
