"Joshua the son of Nun secretly sent two men out of Shittim as spies, saying, “Go, view the land, including Jericho."
Joshua 2:1
In this case, God used Rahab to confirm His plan to give Jericho into the hands of His people Israel. He also revealed Rahab as a person of peace, a person who eventually was in the lineage of Jesus. Our obedience to put our feet on the land to which He is calling us, begins to open the way for God’s Kingdom to come there. Spirit-led research deepens our understanding of God’s heart and plans for the people of the land. Since we carry God’s Spirit as we go, His Spirit in us begins breaking down walls and establishing a beachhead of faith. Our effective, fervent prayer in partnership with God’s leadership and empowerment, builds up a highway for His Kingdom coming.
Disciple's Prayer for Today:
"Father, as I conduct Spirit-led research in the place to which You are sending me, hide me from those who should not see me and direct me to people who will pave the way for Your Kingdom coming among them. Give me eyes of faith to see obstacles as opportunities in Your hands. Reveal Your timing and strategy for this specific people. Give me courage to know when You bring me in, You will use me to ignite movements to Jesus Christ for Your glory.”
Prayer for the Unreached of the Day:
"Father, the Bashkardi in Iran need your love and life to find them. Today I bow my heart and head to ask You to move powerfully on behalf of these people who have yet to hear the name of Your Son. Prepare the hearts of many people of peace ready to hear and follow Jesus. Father, please stretch out your hand and gather these people to Yourself in power and for your eternal glory. Amen."
