"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
Matthew 11:28
This week’s church planting movement principle is: Multiply New Believers and Churches. Multiplying movements are outward-focused, not stagnant nor still. As your purpose is to see new disciples and fellowships multiplying and the kingdom of God growing, pursue outward focus for your churches and disciples. The vision is not ‘come and see’ but ‘go and send.’ Holding onto them in control is not God’s purpose for His Kingdom, but His plan is for us to disciple as we go, to release and send. Ask God to give you open hearts and open hands to see your spiritual children grow and then go. Ask God to give you the grace to trust Him with His new children as you send them out with your blessings. If they have the Word of God and the Holy Spirit, they have all they need. Pray for discipleship and coaching needed for new disciples and churches to keep pace with the outward expansion. Expect obedience to the Word and faithfulness to share the Good News quickly.
Ask God this week to give everyone involved in church planting movements a sense of their connectedness to the family of Christ as children of God. Practice listening to Holy Spirit daily for where He is sending you to prepare His way.
