1 Thessalonians 5:2
The time is short. Today's verse reminds us yet again that the time is short until Jesus, our King, is returning. There are two ways His return may come suddenly: the first is, of course, His return in the clouds which you may in fact see in your lifetime and the other is when you die. No one is promised tomorrow. You are given today. Ask God to use your todays to bring His Name glory. As you go out among your communities and to the nations, ask God to open your eyes in every single moment with the urgency with which to complete the tasks He has assigned you.
Disciple's Prayer for Today:
"Father I know that the time is short. I know that the days are evil. I know that night is coming when no one can work. God, I ask that You would help me use my time today wisely and for Your glory. Bring a new understanding of time to my mind and heart and let me be found being about my Father's business when You return for me.”
Prayer for the Unreached of the Day:
"Father, the Korean need to see a great light. Jesus, send Your children among these peoples and get Your full reward from among these people. Pour out Your Holy Spirit and break every chain on these people. Raise up local believers to serve among their own people. Ignite church planting movements to spread like fire all throughout these precious peoples for Your glory. In Jesus' name, Amen."
