This week’s church planting movement principle is: Be Led by the Holy Spirit. In John 15:26-27 we read: “When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me. And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning.” From the moment that we are saved by Jesus through our confession of faith, we have been with Jesus in His truth and light, covered by His blood. From the moment we were filled with the Holy Spirit, we have been filled with the witness of the gospel so that we can go out and make disciples of all nations. We are enabled to do this great work by the leading and empowerment of the Holy Spirit living inside of us. We go out and preach through the power and leading of the Holy Spirit. Multiplying movements can only be started and thrive through the continual leading of the Holy Spirit in our lives. This week, pray that every disciple and church will continually abide in growing intimacy with God, and serve from a place of increasing dependency on and leading of the Holy Spirit.
Ask God this week to give everyone involved in church planting movements a sense of their connectedness to the family of Christ as children of God. Practice listening to Holy Spirit daily for where He is sending you to prepare His way.
