"Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God."
Ephesians 5:1-2
Little children imitate their parents as they grow up. I look back into my childhood and remember all the ways I imitated my dad and mom, and a lot of those ways are still in me today. Lift up your eyes to imitate Jesus by walking in love and giving your life up to Him as a fragrant offering and a sacrifice. Learn to walk as Jesus walked by imitating Him.
Jesus was such a powerful example of how to truly love people, so today, think of all those moments we are told about in the Word and imitate them with others in your life.
"Father, I want to be like you. I want to be like Jesus. I want to walk in love with you and in love with others today. Open my eyes to your love. Open my eyes to your truth. Let me truly be an imitator of Jesus. Thank you for doing this work in me and continuing what you started."
