ALL THINGS WORK

"Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, “I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you."

Hebrews 13:5

In today's crazy world of working hard to gain possessions, raises, ranks, status, and fame, we so easily miss out on the life that God has planned for us. Rest and peace are found in Christ alone and in today's verse we are told to be content, which is an active action. Being content is a choice to be satisfied in what we have and actively choose to rest, knowing God will provide for all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. True contentment is knowing that we have the greatest treasure in the whole wide world that can never be taken from us: we have God Himself as our Greatest Treasure.

Disciple's Prayer for Today:

"Father, today I choose to be content in what You've given me. I take an account of all the wonderful blessings that You have already given me in Jesus Christ, in my salvation, and in my forever future in heaven with You. Thank you for all You've done for me. Thank You that you see me and love me and care for my every need. Thank You that today You are meeting all the needs for life and godliness for every laborer working to multiply disciples and fellowships especially among those with the least access to the gospel.”

Prayer for the Unreached of the Day:

"Father, the Hazara are walking blindly through their lives search for love and life. Jesus, You are the only way, the only truth, and the only life for any of us, so send people among these people to share the good news of salvation today. Raise up people among this group to be church planters and to share the gospel far and wide with a boldness that can only come from you. Cause them to know how to be content in any circumstance, trusting You for provision of all they need. In Jesus name I ask, Amen."
