"So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders."
Acts 14:3
What does it mean to have God confirm the message of His grace by signs and wonders? Could it mean that God was pouring out healings and setting the demon possessed free simply as an undeserved gift to people? If we remember Jesus' ministry, He healed all who came to Him and set all the captives free. Jesus even healed those who didn't believe in Him. We might also conclude that Jesus healed those who hated Him and would eventually crucify Him. Signs and wonders are acts of God's unmerited favor, gifts to men and women that show how much He loves them. The disciples proclaimed the message; God healed and delivered. As you go through this week, consider this week's principle and its application in your life. Ask God to show you the true power of His love in signs and wonders in the lives of those with whom you share His Word.
Disciple's Prayer for Today:
"Father, help me be faithful to boldly proclaim the message of Your grace so that You can confirm it with signs and wonders. I confess my own unbelief and fear of failure. Even with my mustard seed of faith, it is Your power at work. Thank You for Your generosity that demonstrates Your love through signs and wonders! Bring many to follow You, Jesus, as they experience the touch of Your hand.”
Prayer for the Unreached of the Day:
"Father, the Palestinian Arab in Jordan need You today. Open many doors for the gospel among these people. Raise up more than enough workers among them that boldly proclaim Your Word. Send your Holy Spirit to work mighty signs and wonders among them today confirming the message of Your grace as it is proclaimed! Let multiplying movements result for Your glory."
