”It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter."
Proverbs 25:2
This week's Church Planting Movement principal is: Pursue Spirit-Led Research. We ask the Lord to give us His wisdom as movements research gaps and try to understand the spiritual realities in their regions. God enables us and other disciple makers to identify spiritual strongholds or barriers to the gospel and opportunities for the gospel in these new places. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 tells us, “For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretention that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” As we seek to see His Kingdom coming and His will being done on earth as in Heaven, we must rely upon God to show us the true realities resisting the advance of His Kingdom. Paul in Acts 17:16-17 walked the city of Athens and then acted according to what the Holy Spirit revealed to him to do next. In Mark 3:27 we are told to tie up the strongman so we can plunder his house; without the Holy Spirit revealing who the strongman is and how to tie him up, we will be unable to plunder the places the Lord calls us to go. God is the Master Strategist. Receive from Him divine strategies to overcome every obstacle and to pursue every opportunity for Jesus’ Kingdom and glory among the nations.
Ask God this week to give everyone involved in church planting movements a sense of their connectedness to the family of Christ as children of God. Practice listening to Holy Spirit daily for where He is sending you to prepare His way.
